October 2025
There’s no doubt in my mind that I’m lucky when it comes to my networks. However, my circle hasn’t happened by accident. It’s luck mixed with a big dose of commitment because making connections is important to me. I plan and put in the time to make the most of my networks.
I’m part of an ALR Connections Women’s Referral Networking group, I participate in the Dear FoundHer community, I attend events and coffee dates, and I maintain relationships from many aspects of my career and life.
So, when a connection launches a great opportunity, I’m that much more excited. Most recently, I got 15 minutes of fame when I was featured in the Meet a Mom series from Chicago North Shore Moms, a platform designed to connect people and resources created and run by the amazing Ellie Ander.
I could not be prouder of this and so grateful for Ellie featuring me here.
I first met Ellie at a Dear FoundHer Live event in 2023, and soon after, I realized that while in different groups, she was in an ALR Connections group, too. (Great minds think alike!) This relationship (and now friendship!) – and the amazing exposure she just gave me and Workflows by Ronna – exemplifies the great support of women entrepreneurs in and around my community, and online, too.
Networking can be a job in itself, generating tasks and commitments. But great things can come from the effort, both in support of your business and dreams, and as a way for you to help others with theirs.
So, please, check out this Chicago North Shore Moms piece. I’m thrilled to be featured and was gushing just last week at one of Ellie’s in-person networking events she hosts for women entrepreneurs. If you want to learn more about where and how I network, or if you’re local and want to join me at an event, reach out.

Hiking in Sedona near Buddha Beach
My Favorite Things
With my bare feet firmly planted on the ground, I was seated on a rock seeking a spiritual moment. I was in Sedona, Arizona (now one of my favorite places), known for its powerful forces and vortexes so I leaned into the moment with everything I had. I traveled for a celebratory girls’ trip with women very special to me, and I was seeking the Sedona experience.
I won’t get too far into the details of the vortexes (spots where the Earth’s energy is said to be particularly powerful and transformative) because I know we all relate to spiritual moments very differently. But, I will share how this experience resonated very deeply with my own productivity philosophy and my business.
All of my productivity processes for myself center around being more present. When my Notebook has all of my personal tasks organized and paced, and my weekly and daily plans have my days mapped out, my brain is clear to be present with things that matter the most to me.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more present in a moment than when I sat on that rock at Buddha Beach in Sedona. I credit my processes for that gift because I have created them to ensure I have a plan and thus less worry and angst. I don’t have noise in my mind in anticipation of what needs to happen or what I should be doing. I just have joy and an existential experience I’ll never forget – definitely one of my favorite things ever.

What I’m Thinking About
One of the many podcasts in my regular listening rotation is called Happier in Hollywood. With the early part of my career in TV production, I just love to hear about the entertainment industry and how my worlds sometimes collide.
Most recently, Elizabeth Craft – the sister of one of my favorite productivity experts Gretchen Rubin – had a chat with her writing partner Sarah Fain on the podcast that really resonated with me.
By reflecting on their process for a Netflix pilot, the two of them pointed out that there is no right way to do something creative, there are many right ways. They had, in fact, planned three completely different approaches to their show and were convinced that each way was the right way!
It made me think about Notebooks with Ronna because this is exactly my philosophy: I’m going to teach you a process, and you can implement it how it works best for you, with options that are paper based, digital and hybrid.
Also, the Notebooks with Ronna workshop is offered 1:1, in customized small groups and events open to anyone. Ideally I’ve created an opportunity for you to give this a try in a way that feels most comfortable for you – not one right way!
While I’m thinking about Notebooks, I hope you will, too! The waitlist for upcoming workshops is open.
