February 2026
Last March I wrote about physical therapy and called it one of my favorite things. I said that I love that PT forces me to reallocate some time from work to take care of myself. This still holds true, but lately I’ve got a new take on the experience.
Besides the necessary time I have to allocate for it, PT requires more from me. It takes patience and commitment.
Recently I made an important connection that I hope will resonate: learning to plan, implement processes, and follow through on what I teach takes patience and commitment, just like PT.
And like the changes and strength you’re likely to experience in PT, learning from me will deliver performance results, too.
My clients and workshop participants share Notebook wins with me often. So many of them have experienced that if they flex the planning muscle and use the Notebook to plan and pace personal tasks, they have the energy, space and strength for things that really make them happy
Like in physical therapy, I realize that doing the work to strengthen your skills makes the time spent more valuable and the results stronger. That’s why I’m offering all past Notebooks with Ronna participants the Notebooks with Ronna 2.0 Planning Group.
No matter where you are on your Notebook journey – A+ student or completely behind but hopeful – if you’re looking for a judgement-free space with new tips, tricks and some accountability, this monthly group will be great for you. For more information, simply email me at ronna@workflowsbyronna.com and let me know you’re interested in joining.
And while we’re talking about learning, I’m looking to gather some information for an idea I’ve got. I would be very grateful if you would take just a few minutes (you know I value your time!) to respond to this anonymous survey. I’m very excited about something I’m cooking up, but I want to serve up what you want and what you need.
Thanks, in advance, for filling out this quick survey!

My Favorite Things
It was January of 2023, six months before I officially launched Workflows by Ronna, when I created five Workflows for Gratitude Generation (g2), a Deerfield, IL-based nonprofit providing hands-on service opportunities for people of all ages.
I had been volunteering with g2 in some way since 2018, and I was so excited for my first client, albeit they were pro bono and always will be. I built Workflows for executive/operational tasks and special events, plus a grants tracker. It didn’t take long at all before the g2 team engaged the Workflows and saw the results in efficiency and ease of execution.
I knew I was on to something and was even more driven to share my favorite tools with clients, including nonprofits, small businesses and individuals.
I’m still very involved with g2, serving as the Productivity & Operations Chair and holding a seat on the Gratitude Givers Advisory Board. Now, one of my favorite events is approaching, and this year it will be even more special!
Gratitude Generation is celebrating 15 volunteers at the Gratitude Gala on March 7 in Wheeling, and I’m grateful to be among them. This is humbling and exciting, and I’m happy to be included in this celebration of the people working hard to make a difference in our communities with a mission of instilling gratitude in future generations through education and service, while supporting neighbors in need.
Please check out g2 at gratitudegeneration.org and follow @gratitude.generation to see everything they are doing to fulfill their mission. Tickets to the gala are still on sale here - come celebrate with me and share in one of my favorite things!
What I’m Thinking About
It’s not new for me to be thinking about connection and collaboration, but it’s just so important that it merits some space here regularly.
I’ve always valued relationships in work and life, and since launching Workflows by Ronna, my work connections have elevated to new heights.
I am so excited to be a guest of Jillian Bernstein of The Wellness Extension and Suzanne Scheer, JD, CLTC as they host a virtual discussion of my favorite productivity book, Slow Productivity by Cal Newport, on March 18th at 5:00 PM EST. I will share how I use the strategies in this book to help me and other business owners from burning out.
Register here for the session, which is free and open to anyone!
Also, I recently served as a source for Rachael Fritz’s Parenting on Mars Substack. I connected with Rachael through the Dear FoundHer Forum, and she is a parenting expert for parents of 3-8 year olds. We speak to many of the same people, who we both know have A LOT going on and need to pull it all together.
I’ve seen Rachael’s entrepreneurial journey alongside my own, and this connection and collaboration has blossomed to bring others into our sphere. At an upcoming event Rachael is hosting, collaboration will be on full display.
Parenting on Mars is hosting an exclusive film screening in Glencoe, Illinois, on February 26th for parents and caregivers. The film is called SEEN and explores the transformational power of personal healing and its impact on the parent-child relationship. It will be followed by a panel discussion with Parenting on Mars, Turning Teen, Insight Family Therapy, Olive You Nanny, and Talia Joy Coaching. For more information, click here.
